Moving from the 6.4 section to the 6.0

Well if the deal goes through I will be trading my 08 6.4 for a 06 6.0 this weekend. The big truck note just got to be to much and still wanted a powerstroke of some kind. The truck already has already been studded and deleted. Also has an aftermarket turbo. I believe a sct tuner with lots of custom tunes. Am I all set? I'am coming from running KEM tunes on a spartan programmer. The 310 KEM file mostly. What are some things I need to know about the 6.0. Looks like I have to learn all over again. Are any tunes for the 6.0 going to compare to what I'am used to?

Sorry to hear ya getting rid of the 08.

Glad to see ya still keeping a 6.0 at least. I will have to say i love the 08 interior but i really like the 06 front ends.

I was really torn when i had to buy mine as to which to buy. I really do like the looks of the 6.0.

Welcome to the other family all brothers and sisters here no matter what Liter you got.

Get an oasis report. Also post some pics or a link to it. Chances are if it is modded someone here will know the owner or the truck. And since it is a 6.0 definitely check for leaks. Hope this helps.

Yep the interiors are miles apart. That's what I will miss the most! But at least I still get to have a powerstroke.

That is a sweet looking 6.0! Anyway, it sounds like you are on the right track since it is studded and deleted. An Oasis would be a good idea just to see the history on the truck. Overall, that looks like it has been taken care of and was owned by someone who know the ins and outs of the 6.0. Welcome to our little section!

Thanks. Looks like I have a lot of reading to do. The 6.0 looks like a totally different animal than the 6.4. He is supposed to be emailing me a list of custom tunes he has for the sct so I'am sure I will have plenty of tunning questions.

That truck looks sweet, especially for all black which is not my thing at all. 06-07 Super Duties are the best truck on the road. Looks like someone put a lot of money in this one and should do you good for a long time. If it doesn't have oil bypass and coolant filters, you should consider them pretty important things to do on a 6.0. Also check with the owner and see if he still runs Ford gold coolant. If so replace with an ELC as soon as you can.

So here is a list of custom tunes that will come with sct. Gear heads srl plus, srl plus plus, tow tune. ID tow, street, xstreet , race. Also quick tricks street and race. I have no clue which tunes are the best for mileage or power. Looks like I have a lot to learn. All I ran on my 6.4 was spartan and KEM tunes.
