New member-first post. Looking for some info from the best truck owners
I am new to the group and looks like i have a lot to read. I am sure i might find most of my answers in here somewhere, but wanted to shoot a question to everyone. I have my first powerstoke. It's an 2005 F-250 6.0. I mainly use it for pulling my camper or hauling stuff around. I have put a K&N on it and looking to start my list of things to add. I am not wanting to go crazy (can't afford it. lol) I would like to get a programmer and exhaust as my first few changes. It looks like everyone likes the SCT. Any ideas on what would be great for starters for both. I also would like to do the ERG delete, but have heard ups and downs about it. Any suggestions there would be great. Thanks everyone and look forward to reading the site and everyone's responses.
I am also looking to increase my mileage. WIth the price of diesel lately anything will help. |

With my views. I would take off the K&N filter and put the stock filter back on. It lets too much dirt through for my taste.
You can get cat and muffler delete pipes like I did. Or buy an exhaust system. Tunes from innovative, or quick tricks. You can buy a delete kit or delete it you self and weld the system closed. |

get rid of the K&N (turbo+K&N=bad news). BTW the stock intake is good to 500hp

Thanks everyone. I will look at all the links and sure i will have more questions along the way. For the exhaust. I have been looking at going with a 4 inch from the manifold back. Is it best to stick with the single exhaust or go with the dual? I figured i would do something with the ERG delete when i did my exhaust. (i should say have it done. I don't have a shop to fit the truck in and work on it.)
