3 bushings in turbo mounting hardware , where do they go
trying to put turbo back in my kit has 3 little bushing/spacers i assume they are for the 3 turbo mounting bolts but what is the point of them are the for 03 only or something? only place i could see where i can put them is between the turbo and the bolt kind of like a washer but then there isnt more then 3 or 4 threads showing. i dont see where i could put them on my 04 and i dont remember seeing them when i took the turbo off.
thanks |

bump? are the aluminum spacers only for the 03 or are they for all 6.0's 03-07?

Yes they go on the mounting bolts.

Actually, I'm fairly certain those bushings are for '03 and maybe some '04 turbos. The kit covers all years so the bushings are included even though you do not need them.

yea i agree with you banshee. there is no possible place to put them unless you put it between the bolt and the turbo if you cant put it between the turbo pedestal. and the turbo with the bolt being vertical in the back
just looking for some reassurance my oil cooler egr replacement has been a total pain in the *** (knees better yet) took me 3days lol first day to flush the radiator till it was pouring clear second day i got pissed of right after i started and the rear turbo bolt head rounded off and i had to try and pry the exhaust apart near impossible used impact wrench to put it on |

the secret to that is if you removed the cooler it is easier to leave the bracket loose and tighten the turbo to it then do the up-pipe it is alot easier that way..

I have an 03 Turbo and it uses the spacers. After fighting with a rounded off rear bolt this time I left the bugger out.
