Not sure, Phillp and the boys are looking at a few other things while it's in the hospital. They gonna check the steering out. I'm tired of chasing this thing from lane to lane... hahahahahaha

smokersteve, This motor came from a donor truck that had been hit from the back. It had 22,500 miles. I picked it up for $3050, couldn't beat the deal... I don't know what they were running. What does stars mean? I'm a gas/alcohol shade tree mechanic, so I'm not up on the diesel language yet. I'm still learning.

wow!!! that is a f***ing good price. The star pattern means that that engine had some big power put to it, or at least -LOTS- of high egt's if it was stock.

at 57,000 miles mine were an even color with my street tune from innovative. The stars on your truck with only 22,000 miles could just be that it is new and has not had much time to build up carbon.

Since you are in there. take your time and do all the little updates. One to pioint out are the STC fitting.

What year is the motor?

:EDIT: Optional upgrades/mods.
Drill out the stock banjo bolts or buy new 6.4 banjo fuel bolts. turbo drain tube. Wrap your exhaust pipes, exhaust manifolds and down pipe. PAINT the engine and components, egr delete or modification. FICM tune.
