MotorCraft fuel filter question
Is the FD-4616 the number that replaced FD-4604? I bought three sets of filters and 2 of them are FD-4604 and the other is FD-4616. I checked Home - Diesel Filters,Additives, brake rotors, and brake pads for Chevy, Dodge and Ford Diesel Trucks and it shows that but just want to be sure.

If I remember, the 4616's are the new ones. They probably are using up the inventory of the old ones.
But, if you ordered the 4616's and they sent the 4604's in their place, I think I might want the newer ones since I ordered them. From their web site: "FD-4604 This item is no longer available and has been superseded to FD-4616." |

And remember the Racor's are less expensive and are the same filters.

I doubt that. I only get them every once in a while, but have been able to get them 3 times at 2-3 sets each time.
