looking to switch

As of right now i have a 95 2wd v6 for what i drive in the winter to get me around. as for the summer i drive a 02 vette. i'm thinking of selling both and getting a 04-06 6.0 lifted tires rims the whole 9yards. i am sick of driving this piece of **** in the winter just wondering what you guys think of this. no more vette but have a good truck for the winter. i also have a harley for my summer fun so thats not all gone.

Definitely do it. Pretty much everyone on here will tell you the same thing (it IS a Ford diesel forum). Make sure if you get a 6.0 that you get one that already has head studs. This will save you a few grand and a lot of headaches. These are great motors once you take care of the egr/head studs/oil cooler issues...the oil cooler fails and it leads to the other parts failing. Very expensive to fix it right.

Go for 05-07, preferably the 06 for all of the updates and not as strong of emissions control compared to 07 that hurts the performance and mpg than preious years.

and save up some money by a 2006 superduty and keep the vette. love my 01 c5 6spd

i would save my money but i owe money on the vette so its on or the other. so keep the vette and ****ty truck or z06 and ****ty truck

well to pay for all these toys you gotta get to work and a superduty will surely go threw any snow. then save up for a c6 z06. i have two payments left on f350 i bought my vette outright five years ago. so im looking for a year of no payments then 2007 C6 Z06

Not true. The '07 has no more emissions than the '06. The '06 and '07 are the same with the '07 having a slightly different turbo. Only the '08+ trucks have the increased emissions crap.

To the OP, I say go for it as well.

i'm looking at a 06 lifted 35's chip 200kms lariat don't know what the price is but shouldn't be far off the trade for my vette probably

i'd love to get the harley model i'll see what i can do doubt i'll be able to afford one and can't save money i owe money haha maybe my next truck i will. hoping my car will be all fixed and can get a good deal through the dealership i work for. good thing i'll be at the farm by the time i have the truck and can run farm fuel and can get farm plates.
