How much did your 6.0L EGR Delete cost?
I've got a 2004 F350 CC Lariat, 6.0L/Auto. Just rolled 76k miles. Only things I've got done are a 4" exhaust with cat delete and a MAC Intake. Other than that, it's completely stock-- no programmer, no studs, no nothing. I haven't had any problems yet, but I'm looking at taking steps to bulletproof it before I do start having the common problems. So....
What's the best EGR Delete kit for the money? Where did you get it? What precisely needs to be done in this process? How much does it cost, turn key, to have it completely done? (I can do some mechanic work, but I don't have the time or experience to tear this thing down and do all this modification.) Thanks for the input guys- I'd appreciate some help on this matter! |

i bought the river city diesel kit from them on ebay it made an offer of 185+free shipping which is the lowest they will go
you should replace the oil cooler as well flush the radiater and clean it out well before you even start. a coolant filter would be good to ad to the list as well. alot of people are going with the elc coolant as well install is a pain in the *** i started at 1pm this afternoon didnt ever start to tear it apart till close to 9 i flushed that thing probable at least 20times. did 2 1hour drive also to circulate the cleaner once i got started the fun didnt stop back turbo mounting bolt the head rounded off which costed at least another hour trying to pull my aftermarket exhaust apart so i could drop the down pipe out of the way so i could beat one of those rounded head remover tool on it luckly it bit and pulled it out with ease . ended up calling it quits a little while ago so far i have about 12hours into it and im not even half way i guess about 45% done. |

That is flat out retarded....$1000 to weld up each end of the cooler to block the exhaust... You can't even see the egr cooler anyways...

Got mine deleted for $1100.00, D-FUSER EGR Delete Kit around $300. Did not have many options to shop around for better price. Wyoming towns are very far apart, lol.

Cost
I was just quoted 7 hrs @ $75 per hour, plus parts. It should run me about 700 bones. I'm having the intake, oil cooler, and turbo cleaned while he has it torn down.
I was looking at white smoke out of the tail pipe. I pulled the EGR valve, and sure enough the intake was wet inside. tell tail sign of a bad EGR cooler. I have stopped driving it for fear of it turning into head gasket issue. I had my local dealer quote it and they came back >2K I'm fixing this issue for good for under a grand. should be back in the saddle on Wednesday. I get 17 on ave now. Cant wait to see if my MPG goes up. At 1 mpg, the fix will pay for itself by the end of the year. Come the new year, I'm makin money.
