crazy question...Maybe?
I have a 2005 ford f350 with the 6.0 powerstroke and ever since it was reflashed with the california smog flash the horsepower has dropped a quite a bit. My truck is set up exactly the way I like it and I do want to keep since it's in cherry condition, but I was wondering instead of buying a new truck can I swap the 6.0 to the new 6.7 powerstroke and save some money? Might be a stupid question, but just wanted to check it out first? I tow a 34 foot fifth wheel so I need all the power I can get going up hill.
Thanks |

Dealer won't reflash it, I even called ford and told them what I am expericning and they said they cannot force the dealer to reflash since it's a state law for the california smog flash. The person I talked to at the dealer was the bay area service manager for nor cal. and he said this happens to about 20% of 6.0 owners when the smog code is flashed.
