Excessive tire wear?
I have a 03 f250( one in sig)
I put new tires on it 4,000 miles ago. Dunlop radial rovers. I drive civilized everyday. No burnouts, ect... I put them on right before winter. They suck i'n the snow. Around every corrner, every stop light they spin. Sometimes I can't even get going.have to throw it i'n 4wd! Does this sound normal. I've never had a truck that gets around this bad. The worst part is my new tires are 1/2 gone i'n the rear!!!!! Are they junk tires or what? What should I do. I just spent $800 on tires and I'm halfway to needing new ones already. I have heard many mixed reviews on Dunlop. Some great, some not good.
What rating are they? D? E? How many plys? What is the UTQ rating? Most new tires have a mileage warranty, did these? Are they properly inflated? Even the cheapest tires should last you more than 20K miles. |

there a couple rovers, a/t, rvxt, m/t. Which ones did you get? I will look it up for you. UTQ is the tire rating system, usually includes a tire treadwear rating.

Got ya. Well Dunlop does not have their UTG ratings posted for the rover line. Some do, some don't for LT tires.
I would go back to the tire shop. That is some pretty excessive wear for new tires. Dunlop is a name brand, does not seem like you see that. For what it is worth, I went with a Hankook Dynapro ATM. Only have about 4K miles on them so far, but they look brand new. All highway. |

I worked at a tire shop when I was in high school. I feel like most dunlops have at least a 40k warranty. For sure go back to the shop with them.
I usually run all goodyear tires on everything I own. Never had a problem with them. I currently have yokohama geolanders on the truck but thats because they were on it when I bought it, and they only had about 3k on them. they have a total of about 10k on them now, I'm not real impressed with them in the snow but other then that pretty happy. |

Maybe try going to where you bought them from and show them your situation. See what they say. It could be that they wear quickly at first and then slow down or it could be that they aren't a quality tire. Keep us updated about what happens.
