What oil are you running? Check FICM voltage while cranking. Personally, I would'nt rev it up like that until its warmed up a little more. If your using 15w40, switch to 10w30 or 5w40 synthetic and get a couple bottles of rev-x to put in there too.

It shouldn't be doing anything like that...especially at 22 degrees! How old is your oil? DO NOT rev a diesel like that when the motor is still cold...you shouldn't be going over 2k rpm until that temp gauge comes off the peg. Have it scanned for some codes...could be a bad injector(s) or bad FICM.

even when I had 15-40 in my truck i started at 2* and didn't have as much problem as that.i'd check into the FICM

By all means check your FICM voltage.

Negative 6 cold start and nowhere near as bad as some of yalls...and I'm 15W40...

Ok so I running 5w40 rotella t6 with revx I only have 400 miles on this oil change. injectors are good, Glowplugs are good, gpr it good that only leaves the ficm I'll get to that when I can.
