ELC Price check

What does this stuff normally cost for a gallon of full strength coolant. Found some for around $26 a gallon at CAT and $28 a gallon for the stuff from international. Is this in line or is there a better/cheaper tplace to normally find this

Called John Deere and they told me $17/gallon for their Cool-Gard II. Heard its good stuff.

$42 for both the Restore and Restore+? I just ordered it, and they quoted me $47 for the Restore and $52 for the Restore+, $109 total.

Is the Shell Dex-cool one of the ELC coolants ppl use? ive seen some ppls sigs says Shell ELC but nothing about Dex-cool. i ask because i can get this free at work. It says Shell Dex-cool Extended Life Coolant on the barrel so i guess it works

Yup it was either 42 or 48 bucks from a cummins parts place...I think they ship too I can look up my invoice and get a number if people are intersted and I got the part numbers somewhere. It was nice and convient cuz 3/4 mile down the street was a cat dealer I got the coolent from as well

I paid 12.00 per gallon for the Delo ELC but had to buy a case of six gallons.

Also, Is the JohnDeere stuff ec-1 rated?

Neither one of these coolants is ELC. You want to see a Cat EC-1 rating on the container. If it doesn't have the Cat EC-1 on the container it is the wrong stuff. You should be able to get Zerex or Prestone ELC concentrate at a local parts store. Napa has the Zerex ELC concentrate, if not on the shelf they can order it. My local parts store has Prestone ELC concentrat on the shelf for $17 a gallon. I bought a case of Delo ELC concentrate (6 gallons) from a regional distribution center for $106 including the tax.

If you are going to do this make sure you are getting the right stuff before you lay out your money.
