Question 6.0 head cost

Im thinking of studding my truck. How much do new heads cost if mine cant be machined? Im not saying they are no good just trying to figure costs out if everything is bad.

If it ain't broke don't fix it. I'd just stud it and leave the heads and OEM gaskets.
As for the price, it depends on local shops and how much their shop rate is I imagine

no no problems. just thinking bout studding it. When i blew them a few years ago the diesel tech said it took him forever to get them to torque down. im just worried that when i do stud them they wont be able to be machined and just trying to get the cost on the worst case scenario.

If it aint broke, why stud it? Serious question. He has a delete, I say if eveything's fine, get rid of the gold and rebuild the oil cooler, monitor the EOT/ECT and shouldn't ever have to worry about spending $3500 +or- on studs.

Studs are still a good idea regardless. I wouldn't ever run more than 375horsies through it without them..
You hear of 6.0s running all day with over 500hp on OEM gaskets, but they're using ARPs.
I've never heard of anyone running more than 400hp on stock bolts for very long...
