Holy Freaking ****

I just talked to the Ford dealer and they told me the factory directed test for testing EOT versus ECT is as follows - they hold the throttle WIDE FREAKING OPEN in park for 120 seconds and then take a reading!!!! As a gasser guy, I about soiled myself. I was chatting with them about my delta being 11*F and why they didn't replace the oil cooler when they did my HG and ARP studs. My jaw is still on the desk................unreal!

They said it will sit on the rev limiter all day long in neutral. When I freaked that they did that to mine, they started laughing about the fact that they use the 6.0 for oil pumping and they run 24 X 7 at WOT. I gues I just don't know jack.

I wonder if there is a TSB from Ford for this test. Maybe they just don't like to test drive?

Wish there was a more percise way to check the oil cooler for blockage, the variance in conditions make it really difficult.

Not saying Im gonna do it with my 6.0, but I do know we use the exhaust as a way to thaw out frozen equipment during the winter and yes a gasser has no problem with being "floored" all day.

that sounds insane. Just reading that made me cringe. I couldn't imagine witnessing that test.

just over 4k IIRC thats how we emmision test here in AZ but only for a few seconds

When the dealer had to diagnose My delta's He road tripped it(per Ford Diagnoses procedure ) three times and told Me each time it wouldn't hit the split ?
I started bringing pictures of My datalog and CTS with 17*split

and I told Him "do you really think your guy is getting on the Highway for 20 minutes ?"

finally they were able to " confirm" the split lol

I still think 2 minutes at WOT is crazy and wasn't the procedure a year ago
