2007 No Oil Pressure
Need some help. I have a 2007 with a 6.0 and the other day i drove my truck to the store and when I went to crank it back up it would crank but wouldnt start. Had it towed to my house. I have a mechanic trying to help me fix it. It has 0 oil pressure, according to the scanner so we first took off the hpop and found nothing wrong. Spun the motor over and wasn't getting and oil at the hpop. So next we took off the low pressure oil pump last night. The pump didnt look bad. We are leaning towards the pickup tube now. Was wondering if anybody has had this happen to them and if anyone could help me out. Before this happened the truck was expericing hard starts and would blow gray smoke out untill it warmed up.

Ok so we added a gallon of oil and jacked the rear end way up and got oil to the high pressure oil pump. So we know that it is a oil pickup tube problem. Any suggestions on if we have to take the motor out or can we just lossen the motor mounts and jack the motor up to get the oil pan off?
Any help? |
