Any downloadable free tunes?

Maybe yall experts can help me out with a little question. I have a sf3 and i am running the performance canned tune, pretty board with it. I dont have money for a custom tune right now and i ran across this link Index of /~amon/tunes with free tunes but they don't work (probly cause its such an old thread). Are there any free tunes floating around that i can play around with for shiits and gigles?

And is it me or does it seem like tunes get slower over time or is that me just getting used to em hahaha

Whenever i download a tune off that list to my deskto and click open it comes up with....."Windows cannot open this file: Windows needs to know what program created it. What do you want to do? Use the web service to find the appriate program or select the program from a list?"

Is this what it is supposed to do? or am i doing something wrong?

Will those tunes that travsav posted in link work with any truck? Sorry to steal thread just curious

They are prefixed with the strategy they are made for... your truck has a strategy code, you need to use the appropriate tune with your strategy.

So how do you get the free tunes with my strategy?

Find out what your strategy is and go to the link and download the ones that start with the same strategy. I really like these tunes but my truck wont run them without throwing CEL for MAF sensor.

You wont be able to open the file itself you have to download it, load it onto the sct with the sct program, and then load it to your truck.

So if the antivirus is on it will throw that message i was talking about? After i downloaded it to the desktop it a shotcut pops up on the desktop. Then i click it and thats when that pain in the butt message appears. So ill try to turn it off and see, ill let yall know what happens....if i can even figure out how to turn the anti virus off haha
