Now with cold outside temperatures I see sometimes more than 15* difference between ECT and EOT when motor is warmed up.
Driving on the highway with 75mph I can see a difference of up to 18 degree. ECT is then 186, outside temp around 5. If outside temp is around 40, ECT is more around 190 and difference 12 to 14 degree. During summer I have seen 8 to 12 degree difference with ECT around 200 and outside temperature around 90 to 95. Is this normal or do I have to think of replacing oil and EGR cooler? |

Sounds like the oil cooler is gummed up to me, my temps do run a few degrees lower in the cold, but they keep the same difference. The coolant draws the heat from the oil, so if it isnt flowing as well as it should you will see higher oil temps.

Yea your oil cooler sounds like it's on it's last leg. Mine run a bit cooler, but my delta temps are the same...

Yup... Something is not right. My temps are further apart when it is real cold but not that much.

How much does it cost to replace the oil cooler and the EGR cooler? Is it necessary to replace both or is oilcooler alone sufficient? I can not do it myself but have to give it to a repairshop.
