Turbo reinstall kit question

So I'm closing up my EGR Cooler/Oil Cooler replacement project. Just finished putting the intake manifold back in and am about to put the turbo back in. So looking at this turbo reinstall kit, it includes 3 bushings? I'm not sure what these are for.

Not sure either. When I did mine I didn't put them back in since when I pulled the turbo they weren't there..

Yeah I didn't see any during disassembly either. Perplexing.

They are for the 2003 turbos. What they are for is to shim the bolts so they don't bottom out in the turbo before they snug against the pedestal. The bolts were the same for all years but they changed the pedestals in 2004 in regards to the mounting bolts. They increased the depth of the bolt bore to eliminate the bushings.
