A few newbie questions..

Hi guys, just bought myself my first diesel, its a 2003 Lariat CCSB f-250 with the 6.0, its got 205 000 Kms and runnig good. The turbo is brand new (2000kms) and there is no sign of coolant issues for now. I have little plans for it but need to ask you guys a few questions...

1- My buddy has an Edge (CS i think), can I borrow it from him to record my eot and ect before I mod anything or will his edge not recognize my truck (probably not the same strategy his is an 06)

2- I'm planning on going with SCT, was wondering if I buy the SF3, will I be able to add custom tunes from the guys here (matt or Eric seem to be you're pics) without adding anything? A shop guy told me I had to buy the ''code'' for my truck before custom tunning it ????

3- I may be interested in leveling my truck next year when I change tires.. planning on getting some Lt's in 305-70-16 (33 inchs) I was wondering if the ''puck'' style leveling kits would fit my truck, I only seem to find some that fit 05 to 10 trucks?? Any difference or what ??

Other than that I just finished installing a custom sub box behind the rear seat and works great, had to lift and move the seat frontwards but tahnks to you're threads it was a breeze !!!

If you need more info, just write me up.. and just foud out this morning why you have to plug a diesel... at -38C she almost never woke up

The X3 will read your "Strategy Code". Give that, along with all your truck info, to whomever you buy the tunes from.

The leveling kit w/ 33s shouldn't give you any rubbing issues.

Some Rev-X can also help with the stiction and cold start issues.

I do have another question though... as for the leveling kits, do the 05-10 ''puck'' kits fit 03 and 04 or is there something else... here is an example of waht I mean...

'03 & '04 are leaf spring fronts IIRC. With that you will need a different type of lift; shackles, blocks, new leafs, add a leaf...
