oil cooler and stuff

In the next few weeks ill probably change out my oil cooler, just wanted to make sure my parts list is complete.

ford oil cooler with screen
intake gaskets and turbo kit
stc fitting replace
new turbo feed and drain tubes
bullet proof diesel egr
new thermostat
amsoil bypass filter
coolant filter
cat elc
lots of distilled water
restore then restore + flush
motorcraft oil filter + 4 gallons t6 rotella

a few months later

8 injectors
new dummy plugs and stand pipe

Anything else anyone thinks i need for the oil cooler please let me know, thanks

You don't mention the year, but assume that it's one with a possible faulty STC fitting. The only other thing would be the addition of the updated fuel pressure spring, and depending on your ECT temps, a new thermostat or at minimum new thermostat oring for when you flush.

Sorry updated my sig but didn't go through I guess, its a 05, not sure which year they went to the new style so I figured I would just get the kit. My coolant has been running about 176 all the time and oil at 190, last summer I I had some 240+ oil temps towing, so im changing it to be safe. Thermostat is on my list of things to get

240+ oil temps? Damn change it fast!

if your coolant is only running 176 I think you probably need a new thermostat. Just as well do it while your in there.

I hit 240* while towing about 8k up from sacramento to lake tahoe at 65, it was right at the end of the last hill, coolant was 215*. It tays under 200* now but rises quickly if im pulling hills.

I also need to relocate my coolant filter, anyone have ideas on that, the only place that seems good is behind the passanger front tire, on the body, behind the plastic sheild

don't forget your 2 egr cooler exhaust gaskets and the top o-ring and blue hose

also theres a large o-ring that goes under the intake to the front cover, replace that also

I just got a kit from Ford with all the EGR cooler gaskets and o rings, little blue tube, tubo bolts and supply gasket , orings and bolts , drain tube orings and intake gaskets. was $120. They said it was the EGR Cooler Gasket kit.
