The SCT device itself really doesn't matter. (X3, SF3 or Livewire) Getting the custom tunes is where the power will come from. Tuners like Innovative Diesel, Gearheads, Elite, RCD...etc.

I have the sf3 and only have custom tuning from innovative and I am very pleased witht here tunes and customer service. Haven't felt the need to try anyone else's tunes. maybe in the future once i do the egr and oil cooler from BD.

MS2004 - Who's injectors? Personally I'd go with an upgraded turbo before injectors. A powermax can be had for $1,200 then sell off your stock turbo to lower the price. Injectors will be way more than the cost of a turbo. Just MHO.

You buy the SCT programmer and then you call any of the mentioned tuners. They will write a tune for your truck based on the upgrades you have and what your intended use of the truck is. They will e-mail you the tune as an attachment, save it to the computer, upload it into the SCT and then program the truck.

Tunes: Innovative Diesel, QuickTricks, Gearhead, KEM, & a variety of others all write quality tunes. Give one or multiple a call and tell them what you're looking for and go with the folks that give you the warm & fuzzies.

Injectors: That really shouldn't happen... Do you have cold start problems? What oil & additives do you run? Search the forum for info on aftermarket modd'd injectors, A LOT of different opinions.

Powermax: Search the forum, someone listed about 10 dealers including prices not long ago. Any of the .Org sponsors can get you the turbo, just have to shop price as they are all good outfits.

You've lost 7 injectors?

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge? Maybe you should look at some fuel system upgrades.
