Looking for a new super duty and have ???'s
Are the serious inherent issues with the early 6.4's ? As unbelievable as it is it appears as if the early 6.4's are cheaper to buy than the alledgedly dreaded 6.0. Seriously in the market for a new super duty but gravely concerned over the number of early 6.4's on the market. Should I shy away from the 6.4 all together ? or just the early ones ? What should I look out for ? Are the later 6.0's(06 or 07's) more reliable ?
HELP !!! |

Must be the area, I have never seen a 6.4 (similarly equipped) priced less than a six liter.

Here in South Georgia it is not uncommon to find 08s priced cheaper than 07s.

Same here. The 08s are the same price as 06-07s. Maybe a few 100 to 1000 more. Before I found my 06, I almost got a 4 door Larrat 6.4. The only thing that stopped me was the big hole in the bed! lol Something told me this buggy had a really big gooseneck hooked up to her for her first 16k of life.

Funny how area plays a role like that, before i found my 06 i was looking at 6.4's too but they were all 3-5k more.
This was also almost a year and a half ago so maybe that makes a difference. Edit: Oops sorry that was a typo, had my fingers on the wrong number keys. 2-4 is more accurate. Last edited by SD350; 01-20-2011 at 03:44 AM. Reason: typo |
