Rev X as Preventative Measure?
My F350 only has 51k miles on her and is running awesome. The oil is changed religiously at or below 5k miles annually (we only do heavy RV hauling with it) and we use AMSOIL 15-40. I'm planning on switching to AMSOIL's CJ-4 Premium 5-40 this next go round.
Now....is it worth the coins to buy REV X as a preventative measure? Stuff is pretty pricey and I've heard great things on this forum about stiction being addressed by REV X. However with the oil change itself hitting the $140 mark, I'm hesistant to throw another 70 bucks towards the change unless there is value in terms of prevention, etc. Like I said, I don't have any issues (e.g. stiction) right now at least. All is working well and just wondering if the adage "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" applies here. Thoughts? |

I'm in the same boat as you, my truck is running great. Just last night I dropped in some Rev X as a preventative measure, but that' s just me, still cheaper than an injector or two.

Totally worth it

Do you just have to use the Rev X once a few changes? Or do you have to use it every oil change?

My truck didn't really have much stiction issues but I went ahead a put RevX in anyways, I was suprissed that that with the T6 rotella really smoothed the truck out. |

If your truck is not having any symptoms I would run it once a year. It is good stuff.
