SCT can Tunes questions?

I have a 2006 f250 4X4 and just installed an SCT SF3 today. I am not sure what settings I should be running. There is many options you can adjust other that the tunes it comes with. Can anyone give me a better understanding of the options or tunes. I set it at the performance tune with 100hp. Will this tune automatically set my top end speed as well? Only mods on this truck is a 4inch turbo back exhaust. Thanks in advance.

i turned my EGR off and set it to performance... do yourself a favor get some gauges!!

Just installed a Boost Guage and Pyrometer. Any other important ones I should have? I am going by what I learn here because I am new to the PSD world. Thanks

Most here will recommend the Edge Insight. A lot of gauges in a single package, expandable to include EGT, and (under development Fuel Pressure). The key to the 6.0, EGT (which you have covered) and EOT/ECT, keeping those two within 15 degrees of eachother to avoid an Oil Cooler failure.

Past that, Oil Press, Fuel Press (both for injector longevity), and Trans. Temp (if you tow) are a solid setup. and is what I'm planning to install.

Make sure to get engine oil temp and engine coolant temp gauges or an Edge Insight which can monitor multiple items. It is very important to know the eot and ect, if they are greater than 15* apart more than likely the oil cooler is plugged and getting ready to take out the egr cooler and/or head gaskets.

Great information. I will look into the edge Insight because I really did not want to overload my truck with guages. Thanks
