38psi!?!
Well I was on the hwy and had to pass father time, I just squeezed my toes together and away I went hitting 38psi on a stock turbo. I have extreme street loaded. Should I be worried?

I wouldn't think a 2006 could be capable of that. Is your boost gauge mechanical and where are you monitoring that reading from? Head gaskets would be my first concern at that much psi.

It read 38 on both factory and aftermarket gauges.

Mine will spike to about 36 under a load in o.d. if I get in it 3/4 throttle or so but not enough to down shift.

Im just over 30 right in that same situation. Deep into the throttle under load but not all the way down.

Wow, I didn't know they could boost that much. But I've always tip toed mine tuned since I knew my bolts had already stretched. I've only had my Insight since I tuned it after Thanksgiving and on street I would easily see 26-27 If I forgot I needed to be careful. LOL. I can't wait til I get mine back so I can beat on it for once.
