So this morning went out to start the truck and bla bla. Turned over Maby twice and batterys died.
Tryed jumping it and that didn't work either. Batteries are completely done. This is the third time now. So I finally broke down and spent $253.98 on two new duralast golds 1000cca a piece. It really fires now. It sounds like a 6.4 when it cranks. Anyway so I put i'n both new batteries out side i'n the -4 degrees abd the damn drivers side batt cover won't fit over the new batteries. What good is the cover anyway? Should I just leave it off? |

I left mine off and have no issues.

I run the Deka 1000's, had the same issue as you on the drivers side. If you notice about the cover it also looks like it covers the PCM on the firewall. What I did was trim some of the battery cover to make it fit.

I have an '06...which needs new batteries. Anyhow, mine doesn't have battery covers. You must have a lariat model

Mine fit my Lariat just fine. Lining it up was a fight but it fits. You got robbed if you paid 253 each. I paid that for both at Autozone for the same batteries.

I don't think he paid $253 for each one
