Exclamation 07 6.0 possible purchase

My brother in law is about to buy a 07 f350 6.0 srw with less than 100k on it to use for his landscaping business (haul wood, bobcat, trailers ect.). I have a 97 and dont know much about these 6.0s and wanted the org. opinion on what he can expect from this truck.

It's been hit or miss with them but it seems like the later modeled trucks 05-07 had less problems. And if your not going for big horse power numbers they are good trucks.

There are some things on here you can do to make sure they stay reliable. I'll let the experienced owners tell you about that stuff.

1. Get a Oasis report from ford this will tell you if it is a problem child any repairs by ford.
2. Check for white stuff around the degasing tank if you see any even around the battery it is pucking coolant (may be HG, EGR cooler, oil cooler) see if they will give him so warranty look for leaks around the back of the motor if so may be the bed plate. Look for any white smoke at start up may be a bad EGR cooler, does it idle smooth take it out and see what kind of boost it makes norm around 24-25lbs at WOT run it don't just drive it
