EGR Delete?
Hey guys have a 2004 6.0. Wanna do an EGR delete. I would like to know what kits you guys like to use or have worked well. Have also thought about just removing it and welding caps in the end? Good idea bad idea? Thanks for any input.

I just bought the Sinister kit from MKM Custom (I think that's the name). It's sitting here waiting to be installed. I looked around and did some reading on this site and that seems to be a highly recommended kit...MKM had the best price last week when I placed my order.

Same here. Sinister kit. Myself and a few of my friends bought theirs but off of ebay. Can't remember how much they were but it was the cheapest place we found. It stills comes from them so just check both places. I think they have a package deal that has the gaskets that you need to replace when doing the install. Don't go cheap spend the extra few dollars and replace the intake and the coolant oring for the intake when you take it off. Or like my friend you can have it all back together and find a small leak that will really piss you off
If you have the extra dollars might be a good idea to rebuild the oil cooler too and replace the oil screen in the oil valley next to the oil cooler. Only because you will allready have it all taken apart. We all got together and worked on each others trucks to do this and it wasn't hard just time consuming. If you do it yourself just be patient but its not too bad. Good luck

Sinister is a great budget kit. I have the RCD kit and it has given me no problems.
6.0L 6.0 Ford Powerstroke EGR Valve Delete Package - eBay (item 300419729242 end time Jan-15-11 07:34:29 PST) There is also this one, which is basically the same deal, just not from a big name. FORD 6.0L 03-07 EGR DELETE KIT F250-F450 POWERSTROKE - eBay (item 300510247504 end time Jan-11-11 00:01:23 PST) If you want the best of the best, go with Adam (awesome to deal with) at FCDP's or Doug at GoGo's full delete kit. And if you want added performance out of it, go with Doug's Stage 1 Manifold, but it is a bit pricey at $1200. |

how does that RCD kit work without having to remove the intake manifold?
