sway bar play ?

so slowly i am trying to work on my trucks issues , there arent that many so i guess i am lucky(knock on wood). anyway i have an annoying clunk under the front end and suspect the sway bar bushings . i went under there and grabbed the sway bar and tried to move it and check for play . mine was kinda wobbly and moving and was wondering if there is suppose to be any play at all . thanx for the help .

What about the bar bushings them selves....that is where the usual clunk comes from.

I fixed that problem on mine.....removed the bar and down links from the truck. I can notice no difference in handling and no more noise.
