MPG increase

Finally got to road test the 04 / F350 on a 4600 miles, 8 day road trip. I began with an average 10.8 mpg...hammered it for 8 days, and wound up with 11.4 mpg. My dad used to say, "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.", so, I won't. It may not be much, but it is something. My biggest problem was the diesel prices...they ranged from $3.15 per gal to $3.60 in Port Jervis, NY. No questions...unless someone wants to give their opinion on the mpg increase...Have a great new year..
