If you know anything about SCT, Help!

Maybe you experts can help me, I just bought a brand new xcal2 sf progammer and i went to program my truck and it said " Unsuported ECM, check for updates". I tried to update the programmer but it just isnt working out. I installed my XC2LiveLink and that went great but when i tried to install my USB Drivers it is not leting me when i try to seach for the file name. So i am guessing that i need those USB drivers for the programmer to be reconized by the computer?? How do i do this because it realy starting to get on my last nerve . So how do i update my programmer. Thanks!

(2004 F250 6.0)

The programmers model number is 9415

So i have figured out that when i go to upload the drivers it wont let me click ok. I go to the folder when searching and find the folder SCT and then click on the folder SCT live 3 and it wont let me click ok... I dont even know what a driver is. But i do know that i followed the support link for upload drivers step for step and it will not work?

Also i checked the tuners status and it shows me STAT= unused.... If i plug in the programmer and it pops up as new software, i click on advanced, then i browse for a folder with the drivers, what folder should i be looking for? because i dont know that the one i am looking for is the correct one even though it says SCT Live 3

I've never tried it, but did you try to manually install the drivers?

You try contacting SCT customer service....sounds like you're running a later Windows based OS...i.e. Vista or 7...and you may be running 64bit....this could be your problem. SCT will ask these questions and get you a work around.

Sounds like you downloaded the live link instead of the SCT Device Updater program. You need that before you can update. Do you have the updater on your computer you are trying to connect to?
