Cab lights

I want to install cab marker lights on my 04/6.0. Are all the cabs pre-wired for them or will I have to run wires to my light switch?

not pre wired.. you will have to either buy the FORD OEM harness or just wire them up to your running lights.... i can get you a good deal on the Recon LED cab lights for new installs....

I bought the Recon lights, they look nice but I was disappointed with the wiring harness they provided and with the instructions. The lights overall are fine though.

I recommend buying OEM lights and the harness and then Recon lenses.

I agree. I did this mod and the factory harness comes with all the clips that connect to the roof and down the passenger side pillar and pkugs into the factory harness on the passenger side kick panel. Was pretty easy to do.

Just make sure you measure 2,3,4 times and cut once

I'd like to do this also. Anyone have problems with them leaking and do you think an OEM kit would reduced the chance of this?

I've never had a leak. They have studs that go through the cab and nuts hold them from the inside. Most aftermarket ones have screws that hold them on. My buddy had Recon cab lights put on his GM and they leaked like crazy.
