Banks intercooler on a stock truck???

I may have the chance to get a Banks tecnicooler for my truck at an increadable price. I am wondering if it will make a big difference on a mostly stock truck. I have the usually mods including 4" exhaust into stacks, ZooDad Mod, Intake elbow. I am not running an tunes anymore as I want the mill to last. Will running a better intercooler lower my EGTs? I usually run 7-800 on the highway at 70mph. Is it possible that the intercooler will lower the EGT's too much? Thanks for the input!

Intercoolers are for cooling the hot intake gas coming off the turbo, would it really make a difference in EGT?

You should see some increase in horsepower if it is getting the boosted air cooler over the stock. Cooler air is denser, denser air has more oxygen per unit volume = more fuel being burned = less waste/higher EGT.

it will make some difference, you will get more air, which will help for more fuel, from what ive always understood, it should run cooler egt's, thats kinda one of the points of a intercooler, lower temps going in, the the temps inside should be cooler

There are many other better products to get for the truck that have a moneys worth trade off.

If you're getting it for a great price I'd say take it!

6.0 IC's are awesome. on a stock truck i would leave it be. or even on a modified 6.0. stock ic is pretty good.
