innovative extreme tune, egts hit 1450+ wtf?!

just got erics extreme street and on when i give her about 90 percent throttle my egts friggin skyrocket! now most people say 1200 give or take is about as high as ya wanna see it but damm 1450+ wtf, my egt probe is in the driver side manifold, now am i losing my mind here or is 1450+ plus bad? 2 yrs of education told me its bad but im fairly new to the 6.0 please help! i love these tunes but if its going to blow up my truck well then that just sucks. sorry about the novel but im uh scared!

You're fine with temps spikeing that high for short periods. I've had mine quite a bit higher quite a few times. As long as you're not holding those temps for long periods, you're fine. A quick WOT run will run EGT's way up. If you're seeing 1450* driving down he highway, something aint right....

Something is either plugging like the ebpv valve is stuck or excess fuel. but i also know the 6oh turbos have the ability to turn the vanes so i dunno on that.

Those temps are normal if you're running wide open. As previously stated, short periods of time with 1400-1600* EGT's isn't going to blow your truck up. If you're seeing those temps cruising on the highway at a steady 70 mph, you have some problems.

Nothin is stuck unless he is sustaining those temps. Doesnt sound like he is.

Ask Tyler what temps we saw goin through the tunnel in Virginia on the way to SSS

Skooter do you have the stock exhaust? If not I would get a 4" turbo back asap if you plan on running that tune. With temps that high your dancing with the devil.

powermax, studs, 190s, 4 in turbo back, zex n20 system, sct, black onyx gaskets, coolant filter, and a freakin sweet new edge cts. thats it in the mod department but shhh dont let word get around to much, i like sleeper status if ya know what i mean. and the temps just shoot up then they start to cool down as speed picks up, my old 12 valve i never saw them that hi thats why it scared me.
and 1700 degrees would make my bung hole pucker up tighter than a snare drum!
