A Strategy list or table?
Read my strategy tonight, but dont know what it tells me from another's slightly different strategy numbers. Anyone have any insight on these numbers? I'm also wondering if the can change on their own by the way the vehicle is modified or driven, or if they are fix values, only changing with flashes or updates.
![]() By the way, mine read VXCF1D6 & TQCJ0DW.. |

This seems to be brought up often. The question I haven't seen answered which has come up a couple times recently is a list or table of the strategies over the years that summarize their characteristics, pros/cons, etc.
Briefly here and there some have mentioned infamous quirks about particular strategies but for us who aren't famaliar with them or experienced them in our trucks are kinda left in the dark. |

Horsestrokin. You have the original 05-06 strategy. Your truck has never been reflashed

I had my 06 model flashed with newest OEM tune this afternoon. Vivian recongized the strategy numbers as original strat numbers, and recommended I do so to prevent a possible lock up. I cost $92 (ouch) But it might help with my FICM issue. Tech said my truck was storing a FICM and injector 1 code, and also said that first thing ford tells them to do, (before replacing parts) is this update to see if the problem clears. Sounds like a band aid fix. I would like to see a table/spreadsheet of strategy codes as well.
