Will a 2010 trans fit in a 2003?

I was wondering if a 2010 auto trans fit in a 2003 truck? Both are f350s and both are automatic. And if not what year trans will fit if any?

I dont know about actual fitting, but you would have to get a stand alone computer for the trans to do the shifting. (Baumann controls)

I would say yes since it is the same tranny minus the torque converter.

Yes as long as it is from a v10 or psd. The 5.4 has 1 less clutch and probably will not hold up. the only practical difference is the tq convertor. You can use a 6.4 flywheel and the 6.4 convertor or the 6.0 convertor and flywheel. The difference is the 6.4 is 8lug and the 6.0 is 6lug. There are differences in internals but mainly they are upgrades. Should be plug and ply once you figure out which convertor to go with. Plan to change your current convertor and trans cooler and flush the lines really well. It is practically impossible to flush the tc or the cooler and they are cheap compared to a trashed tranny.
