Looks like classic heat induced fatigue on that first and last photo of the turbine. The variable geometry turbo vanes also look to be heat pitted. I would not be surprised if there were repetitive high heat loads exceeding 1350 degrees F for extended periods.
It's similar to what I have seen in military vehicles under those circumstances anyway. I hope you caught the damage before debris was propelled through the air intake manifold and onto the combustion chambers. Jonathan |

ya i seen that one , i cant believe the dealer wants 2093 canadian when i can get a powermax for 1200 approx . a fellow member is helping me out with his old turbo , he walked me thru the removal of the old one . would have been lost without his help

ya high heat wouldnt surprise me , the truck use to haul trailors from the states to canada so i'm guessing heat would have been present . i have only been really on the accelorator three or four times cuz i am in the process of getting guages then the turbo went soo. deffinitely gotta get a monitor of some sort when turbo is finished .
