Quick response please!!

I'm in the middle of removing my turbo. It's all loose and ready to come out, but it's hanging up on the Y-pipe. Is is necssessary to loosen the exhaust manifold to up pipe bolts to get more clearance, or is it safe to force the Y-pipe back as needed? What else should I replace/upgrade while I'm in there? Thanks in advance.

You do not have to loosen the bolts. Remove th y-pipe and downpipe clamps completely and you should be able to get it off. That is how I've done mine both times.

Thanks. I thought so. I was concerned about getting it away from the drain tube, and also reinstalling it with the new drain tube without damaging an o-ring, etc.

You have to pull the turbo straight up off the drain tube.
