No black smoke?

maybe a stupid question, however I have noticed as it has gotten colder out
I cannot get my truck to smoke if I try, not a big deal but curious what or why that would be

2004 Harley Davidson edition, Edge juice with attiude, work horse chip, 4" turbo back exhaust no cat or muffler, river city diesel egr cooler delete and up pipe, S&B Intake, Pro Comp level kit, Pro Comp twin tube steering stabilizer, Sinister coolant filter, smoked tails, smoked corners, Recon smoked cab lights, Pioneer dvd, 2 Kicker 10's

My truck smokes more when it's cold and piece of advice get rid of the edge and get SCT

It doesnt smoke because it's tuned not to... If you want smoke you're going to have to have the tuner do it or "trick" the truck. I dont advocate a lot of smoke but it can be done, you're going to have to do your own research though.

Why are you typing in all caps?

SCT will make more power than the Edge and is better for the transmission.

sorry i keep caps on at work, better for the transmission how? whats the difference

i had a Juice w/ Atittude previously. It cost me a Transmission.

When your jumping power levels, the trans cant learn fast enough to handle the power when your back and forth. With an SCT and custom tunes, the transmission is calibrated to handle the power.

No worries.

The short answer is that the Edge does not have the capability of tuning your transmission whereas the SCT does. A lot of 5R110 transmission failures have been blamed on Edge products.

warmer weather and humidity have to do with smoke some.. also if its winter diesel ive noticed that it doesnt smoke as much. maybe the lower levels of cetane.
