diesel kleen?

Hey guys I'm wondering if I messed up. I bought the white bottle of diesel kleen last time I was at walmart. I have 2 questions. First was I supposed to get the grey bottle? If so do I just use the white till its out? Second How much do I use per 10 gallons of diesel? or how much per tank do yall use?

The white bottle is just anti gel formula for cold weather, but its still got a cetane booster and lube properties just like the gray bottle. It won't hurt your truck a bit, still much better than nothing... I'd just use it up then get the gray bottle when you need some more. As far as usage, I don't measure mine too well, just a good size splash every time I fill up. If you look at the directions on the container it will tell you how much the jug will treat then you can figure it pretty easy on your own.

For the grey bottle, 8oz is supposed to treat 25 gallons...I get 4 tanks (30 gals per fill-up) out of the 32oz bottle; I've been thinking about trying 1/3 bottle per tank to see if it makes a difference.

I've never put anything in my tank, does this cetane boost actually make a difference in performance?

I'm not sure I am going to use it to protect the fuel system and lube it whether it needs it or not with all the bad things I hear about the ULSD I rather be safe than sorry and if I get a lil bit better performance or mileage in doing so then all the more better!

That's why I started using it too. Boosting the cetane is supposed to help with performance, but I don't have any dyno #s to compare with.

And, I'm stock except for intake so I might not even notice a difference...

well I might put a few gallons of ulsd in mine every few months but thats about it

Oh well thats all we have down here in Houston. My grandmother is a dispatcher and used to be able to tell me where to get LSD but everybody has switched to ULSD so we have no choice!

I don't believe you'll notice any real difference for the added cetane, but it will help your truck run smoother. I mainly use it for the lubricity and the extra 1 mpg or so I get from using it.

I only use the diesel kleen when I am having mileage issues or going on long trips. With the F-250 I use 8 oz per fill up. With the new Ex PSD I am getting it has a 44 gallon tank, so I will use 1/2 per bottle at fillup. One thing I have seen is you need to be prepared to let the truck urinate as the product is designed to displace water (I think?). On long trips I believe it helps me get another .25 to .50 MPG.
