New exhaust....Kinda

Well Guys I haven't had my truck a week and I already have cut it up!

Yesterday I took the exhaust off, cut the muffler out used the over axle pipe to re-route and replace where the muffler was so now it sticks out in front of the rear wheel somewhat like a lightning. While I was at it I went ahead and gutted the cat as well. So now I have a 3.5" straight pipe exhaust system for free! I am loving the sound! I will post pictures of it and my truck as soon as it stops raining enough to be able to take some nice pictures. The exhaust is only temporary till I get either a 4" straight pipe or 2 slash cut stacks.

I was amazed at how easy it was to do. I did both mine and my buddies! Gutting the cat took longer than cutting and welding the pipe. I still need to grind down my welds and clean it up real nice! I am thinking of painting it black. I'm not sure yet but it sounds awesome! start up and idle is just like a jet and after a second or two of WOT it sounds like a pretty mean big block just like everyone says with their straight pipe systems.

I did mine last week except I cut it off right in front of the cat and left it like that. Threw everything else away. Didnt need it or want it. Mine is also a temp. fix till I can get the exhaust I want. Hell since its gonna be my play truck I might just get the downpipe and leave it at that.

With just the downpipe mine was hella loud! I'm glad I have my 4" exhaust on now and so are the wife and kiddos! lol

I actually like the black stock tip its clean and subtle. I also did the zoodad mod last night! now you can hear the turbo clearly on both ends! haha
