Found a truck online I want to go look at. It's an 03 F-250 XLT Regular Cab. 4x4. 6.0/Auto. Pics look immaculate. 48k miles. They are asking $23,995 for it. Has a few accessories already ... chrome tube steps, sun visor, bug shield, vent visors, bigger AT tires. What do you all think? I was thinking it might be a little too much $$ ... but I'm sure I could deal on it some.

it sounds ok to me, i paid 23 for my 01' f-250 ex-cab short box with 90K miles only 4 months ago. its all ur preference, if u think its not worth it, wheel and deal.

sounds ok, i would try to find something with a little more room though. regular cabs are really small, unless it is something you like then i say go for it.

do some reading about the 2003 6.0L trucks, you may change your mind on whether you want to get it or not. Not trying to be a party pooper, but you sould read up on the 03 6.0's before u buy for sure!

Yeah I agree, I would study up on the 03's. Many were plagued with head gasket, EGR, turbo, and injector problems.

Another idea for you would to become a premium member and get an oasis report. This report will tell you everything that has been done to the rig at any ford dealership nationwide. If any large repairs have been done in 48k miles i would pass on it because it will probably have more down the road. If all looks good 23 isn't too bad but maybe a little high.

Selling my 04 250 XLT extra cab for 24,900. Just had all the work done on it. New head gaskets EGR cooler, oil cooler. All done by Ford. Have all paperwork.

my 2003 has been good to me. this motor with an 05'+ front suspension and im sitting pretty. lol

The price sounds pretty darn good for that low of milage. This could possibly be an indication that it may have problems though. Like the others said, get an oasis and a carfax on it. If there are no problems on the oasis and carfax then don't be afraid to buy it. It should have some of the 5 year 100K warranty left on it and you can also put an extended warranty on it just for insurance. Don't let others make your descision. Check the service, test drive, and decide.

How many miles? Auto or Stick?
