so whats next
well I have my XCAL2 with the looney tune and this thing is awesome. I have every guage I need, and of course a zoodad. Reason for my interest is tonight I saw a bunch of Cummins, and Duramaxs cruising the DR cruise and they both had some crazy power. I have the itch I need to itch it. What is the next reasonable step geting another nice bump in HP?:burnout

you do a 4'' or 5'' exhaust yet? might want to do that. free up some restriction in the exhaust.

yeah thats what I was thinking also. Should I go 4" DP to 5" or 3.5" to 4"? What else will give some more ponies?

well that depends on what sound you are looking for too. i went with a 3 1/2 inch downpipe, then 4'' all the way back. i had way too much turbo whine with the bigger D/P so i put the stock one back in and left the rest. i like the sound and the little bit of power i got out of it. im sure with the looney it would be friggen sweet. i think you should go with the 3 1/2 DP to a 4'' all the way back. not too loud but definately a big defference in tone.

exhaust - 4" is enough unless you're pushing some big #'s - injectors, some type of high flow intake, turbo upgrades, Dual HPOP

ok so a 4" exhaust that sounds like a great upgrade, what else is affordable and produces some HP?

once you get intake, exhaust, and tuning done theirs not realy any more reasonable upgrades... they all go about $1000+ after you get done with the stage 1 mods

water meth, ads up to 70hp caost around 600, install is a breeze

I wouldn't worry about an excessively large exhaust. The standard 3.5" DP and 4" straight system will flow plenty good enough. |
