EOT & ECT Average Temps

I recently purchased a 2007 6.0 F-350 and have installed an Edge Insight to monitor the EOT & ECT. Just driving around town and not pulling anything the average difference in the temps seems to be around 8 degrees. While sitting idle the temps will drop to with in 4 degrees. My question is, is this within the norm of what most of you are seeing? What should I expect when towing a 12,500 5th wheel? Also, I plan on installing a turbo back cat delete 4" exhaust and EGR delete in the near future.

Thats perfectly normal. within 15 degrees while cruising is within ford spec

Agreed. On the freeway (55-60), nothing in tow, my ECT sits around 190*, and my EOT around 197*.

Nice! I am about that same spread on the stock cooler. Only 41k and was flused when I did studs and egr last year at 30k. Flushing and doing ELC as soon as I can get away from work for a bit! Hope to do it in the next week or so.

Does anyone have any temp numbers while towing? On the interstate with NO load I'm hitting 190 ECT and 195 EOT, but when towing my boat the numbers jump up. Does a 15* or more difference while towing indicate a problem?

The reason I need a Powerstroke

I towed a couple of times this summer...both pretty hot days...towing trailer of 11.5-12K...4" lift, EGR cooler in place, no tune. My temps spread was as much as 18*F different on for short burst. I have the VXCF9 strat and did Not get a CEL. My oil got as high as 220 and my coolant was as high as 216...of course the fan kicked on, but those temps are exceptable.

Sounds similar to what I got while towing a similar load, although our outside temps were probably higher out here in the desert than what you guys see back in NC.
