Garrett Powermax vs. RCD 64mm
I am about to pull the trigger on a big upgrade on my 05 6.0 - Injectors, Fuel System and Turbo. I was planning to go with an RCD 64mm but I haven't looked into it for about a year and I have heard the 64mm Powermax is a good choice. I am turned off of VGT's since my factory turbo has been sticking...
Any recommendations on the Powermax vs RCD? Thanks, Rou |

i just put a 64mm Powermax on my 6.0 I like it a lot. It whisltes like an 03 if yor into that, and also makes really good smooth pulling power. I have never had anything from RCD though

With those injectors the powermax will be "less" smokey at the low end and give you more power at the low end because it will boost faster.
There are some people on here that have 190's with this that do very well. The non vgt 64mm will give you more top end power. less smoke once the turbo has spooled. Lower egt's. reliability is higher. |

here is a vid
Update on my truck If you got 185's from elite, they will still smoke, but only a little bit less than 190's. |
