7.3 into a 2006 F-250
One of my buddies had a 06 with about 250,000 miles on it and the motor needs to be rebuilt. He has access to a free 7.3 out of a 02 that he can rebuild fairly cheap. Anyone know what's required to do this swap ???

trans, (probably the cross member) motor mounts, motor, all the accessories, ECU, probably a lot of other small things that will nickel and dime you to death unless you have a complete donor truck, (if the cabs are the same its probably easier to do a cab/front end swap.
what needs to be rebuild on the motor? might be a similar cost to either rebuild/replace the 6.0 or swap a cummins in |

Pretty sure it was dusted. Very low combustion in all 8 cylinders.

if it was me i'd either A) rebuild the 6.0 B) look into a cummins swap, sell the 7.3 to fund C) sell truck buy a 7.3 do a 05 front end swap and swap out front leaf sprung suspension for 05 coil spring suspension

I like how you think 75. Option 3 sounds cool. He's gonna rebuild the 6.0 next week.
