Fuel Tank
I need to drain my fuel tank. My injectors just died and I'm tearing it all down and want to clean it and remove an debris just to be safe. Does anyone know how to drain the fuel tank on an 07?

Remove the tank and use a siphon. If you got a LOT of fuel better bank up some fuel cans and use a siphon to get the bulk out.
Remember to Harpoon mod that tank for faster fill ups. |

Are any special tools needed to remove the fuel lines in prep for removing tank?
I believe I have water in my tank and need to clean out also. For the last 3000 miles or so ( I just returned from a 2000 miles trip), I've had to drain the separator every 600 miles or so. It would begin to run horrible, so I'll stop, drain it and be fine. Changes my filters 1300 miles ago, and made little difference. Those filters were only 1000 miles on them. Odd thing is, the water in fuel light has not come on in about 1700 miles (gone through 2 run horrible and drain/then runs fine cycles without light coming on) Thanks |

Man I think if I had to go through all that crap I would try to find the funds for an upgrade to a larger tank.

put a sump fuel pick up at the bottom of your tank.
