Edge Insight Towing Results

Just got back from a a camping trip to Dillon Beach, Ca. I was hauling my 23' travel trailer (approx 6,500 lb). Round trip was 300 miles @ 11.2 mpg. My Edge Insight readings (No tuner) were as follows:

70* @ 55 mph (Level road)

ECT = 199
EOT = 206.2
TCT = 155.8
EGT = 946


70* @ 60 mph (Level road)

ECT = 208
EOT = 215.7
TCT = 161
EGT = 985


65* @ 60 mph (Approx 5% - 7% grade)

ECT = 212
EOT = 216.7
TCT = 163.6
EGT = 1078

My numbers were very very similar towing a double motorcycle trailer from DE to FL and back at the beginning of Oct.

I saw much higher temps than that when I pulled a travel trailer with all our hunting gear here in the Rockys (about 7k). I saw 226* ECT at a couple points pulling the steeper grades . I don't remember what my EOT was running, but it was also hot

Temps look good, this summer coming home from Sunriver Bend,Oregon 6 miles of 6% grade 90+ outside pulling my 14k 5er my ECT 218* EOT228* and the fan sounded like a jet plane

Good to hear, thanks. I did the coolant swap and filter before I got the Edge, so my fingers were crossed. Looks like my EGR Cooler and Oil Cooler are safe for now.

My first diesel, and I had no idea how the previous owner had taken care of it. There weren't any mods on the truck, and it has low miles, so hopefully it lasts me a while before I have any major issues. I just bought a 5/75 warranty from the bank my loan is through, for additional piece of mind.
