08 Differential Cover
I decided to throw on a 08 differential cover since I am changing my diff fluid, so i called my local ford dealer for a price.
The price that came back for the cover was 69$ which seemed a little low, that I can deal with, however the big kicker was the hardware. Parts manager told me that the bolts were 13$ a piece!?! and they would take 3 days because they are comming straight from detroit. So my question is, do you have to use the bolts from ford? Or can i pick some up somewhere else? |

Local hardware store or big box store will have then. Take 1 out and bring it with you for size. Make sure you get them longer since the cover is thicker.

Why do you need to replace the bolts?

Stamped steel vs. aluminum, which is thicker.

So because he is changing the cover he needs new bolts?
Does the new cover offer a drain plug? |
