Does anyone know if there is a restrictor plate in the intake or to the turbo that can be removed for better flow and turbo whistle

I don't remember who but someone was saying there is a silencer ring in the 6.0 turbos, but it has to be machined out.

yeah there was a thread about it a few days ago. on the first 03's it was a ring that you could take out. on later years it had to be machined out.

if by restrictor plate you mean cat, muffler and all that piping running out the back then yes there is. take all that mess out and enjoy the 'natural' sound of your powerstroke. lol I have an 03' and it has no "silencer ring" that is being spoke of just above it. it's an early build too. 3/03.
