Question Updated STC fitting???

I just bought my 07 not to long ago, how can I tell if I have the updated fitting???

I'm mostly sure that the late 06's and 07's had the screw-in fitting. I bet your fine as far as that goes.

I have an 07 6.0L and mine did not come with the updated fitting. STC fitting failed at 31k miles, leaving me stranded 4 hours from home . Fixed under warranty with the new fitting, now at 55k miles, and no problems since.

Thanks, I don't want to see it that bad .

I will get the local dealership to run my vin and see if it's got the updated fitting. Thanks to everyone that responded for your info

Like cobra said..some have it some dont...mine was replaced under warranty about 30k ago and showed up on the oasis. I also had them double check when my studs went in my truck.

My 07 didn't have the upgraded one in it I put the upgraded one in it, its kinda a pain but not to bad took me and my buddy 4hrs to have it done
